Authorised Agents
The submitter of the information for the listing or membership will be assigned the responsibility of the Authorised agent of the business.
To get listed or become a member on the e.MILE Community the Authorised Agent must be over the age of 18.
Listed Businesses must be carrying on a trade and the Authorised Agent will be held liable if any listings are made without the consent of the owner(s) of the business.
Owners of the e.MILE Community accept no liability for any listing made by unauthorised persons.
As Authorised Agent you must provide your own valid email address and all other information requested in the listing and membership process.
In signing up for the e.MILE Community, you are deemed to have read and accept all the general provisions set out in the e.MILE Community Terms and Conditions and Small Print Conditions. You also agree to abide by the e.MILE Community Policies.
Terms and Conditions: - Listing and Membership Responsibilities
You agree that you are responsible for your own submissions and postings and for any consequences thereof. You agree when using The e.MILE website, social media forums and books, articles, emails etc., only to publish, transmit, upload or distribute materials that are legal, proper, decent, honest and accurate.
You must abide by copyright laws at all times. The e.MILE Community accepts no responsibility under the terms and conditions for copyright infringements caused by submission by the Authorised Agent.
Terms and Conditions: Submitting Listings, Amendments, Changes Advertisements and Articles
In submitting amendments, changes or articles, you agree in accordance with these terms and conditions to keep your comments civil, tasteful and relevant. In particular, you further agree that
Submissions will be original and your own work, not copied from anyone else, and not an impersonation,, unless categorically stated and accredited to the original source.
In accordance with these terms and conditions, you agree not to Post any literary, artistic, audio, video or data content (“Member Content”) to the Website apart from original works of a personal and non-commercial nature that have been created by you, or for which you have obtained the right to copy, distribute and Post them from the author (or through the lapse of copyright).
You will have purchased the right to publish images and you will own or have acquired the right to publish
Submissions will be in the English language. They will be legal, proper, decent, honest and accurate. Be relevant to the business in question. Will not contain profanity, swearing, obscenities or any language likely to cause offence Will not contain threats, prejudice or hate speech. Will not be untrue, misleadingly incomplete, defamatory, inappropriate, indecent, obscene, offensive or malicious. Will not be unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful or sexually or racially offensive, or restrict or inhibit any other user from using the e.MILE Community. Will not be illegal, or encourage or incite people to commit any crime Will not breach the confidence of or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others or infringe any patent, trademark, copyright, moral right, database right, trade secret or other proprietary right of any party. Will not contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the e.MILE Website or the operation of another’s computer.
Will only contain websites and links which the business has authorised use of.
The e.MILE Community reserves the right at all times to disclose any information posted by Authorised agents or other agents of the business as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. By virtue of these terms and conditions, The e.MILE Community reserves the right to delete or modify any listing or content at any time, for any reason and where appropriate will provide a full or proportionate refund.
If notified of content which allegedly does not conform to any of the above terms, The e.MILE community may investigate the allegation and determine in good faith and in its sole discretion whether to remove or request the removal of the allegedly infringing content.
The e.MILE Community accepts no liability or responsibility for performance or non- performance of such investigation. The e.MILE Community reserves the right to terminate or restrict access to any or all Membership privileges at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.
The e.MILE Community reserves the right to protect consumers from false, misleading or illegal reviews of businesses and makes every effort to refer any breach of the laws relating to ‘falsely representing oneself as a consumer’ to governmental and policing bodies.
Terms and Conditions: General
You also agree, by way of example and not as a limitation, that when using the Website, you will not:
- Impersonate another person or entity, or falsify or delete any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is Posted.
- Register for more than one account in your name.
- Collect email addresses or other contact information from the Website for the purposes of sending unsolicited emails or communications or for any commercial purposes.
- Use the personal details of other Members except to contact them in a manner which could reasonably be expected.

The directory and its contents are offered in good faith. Reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the information and The e.MILE Community does not accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in the details listed. Classified entries of companies do not imply any form of recognition, recommendation or guarantee of the company or the products and services provided. Readers are advised to check any information offered in the directory to their own satisfaction before relying upon it.
Many of the benefits and services offered by the e.MILE Community are sourced via 3rd party social media platforms and applications. The e.MILE Community can operate subject to the rules and policies of those social media platforms and 3rd party applications. The e.MILE Community accepts no responsibility for changes to services and applications made by these 3rd parties.
Terms and Conditions: The Small Print
GENERAL
The e.MILE Community is founded and owned by Christina Lattimer T/A People Discovery. The e.MILE Community is a listing based business community specialising in networking with and sharing information about business in the Leadership, Management and HR Fields. We also include Business Services which supply goods, products and services in the field of People Management generally. Businesses not providing services within this remit will not be accepted in the directory. Business Services which are targeted at Leaders, Managers and HR Professionals will be accepted.
We aim to provide a specialised and unique platform for both partners and industry clients to share and gain benefit from, by way of sharing services, products, events, books, articles and thought leadership.
The e.MILE Community will list, share and publish information about your services across a defined created by Christina and the growing team at People Discovery. All we guarantee is exposure in accordance with the guidelines below. We do not guarantee increased leads or sales by virtue of such exposure, simply because we have no control over the market demand, quality of interest about your products, services, events, books, or advertising.
We will however for a reasonable fee discuss a strategic approach to your social media marketing. If you are interested in such a service please drop us an email to
CANCELLATION POLICY
We reserve the right to cancel a free or paid membership without having to provide a reason, although of course if problems arise we would do our utmost to resolve.
Monthly subscription:
In normal circumstances we will require 30 days’ notice. Payments will continue until the end of the notice.
If cancellation is made within 3 months of a promotion of a launch, we will bill you for the full cost of the launch in accordance with our Advertising costs
Annual subscription
In normal circumstances we will require 30 days’ notice. Refunds will be given, although an admin fee will be incurred of £20 GBP.

If required, we will undertake to remove your profile from the site as soon as possible, but in busy periods it may take up to 5 days.
PROFILING AND LISTING OF BUSINESS INFORMATION
We undertake to list all submitted profiles and business information to the directory within 24 hours. However in busy times this may take up to 36 hours or longer although we will do all in our power to get your listing posted as soon as possible.
For Full and Plus membership, we will post and share your information across the community and social media platforms in accordance with the guidelines below. We will contact you if we need clarification of information to be shared. Delays may occur in sharing information if we do not receive a timely response from you.
DIRECTORY SEARCH
Viewers of the directory will be able to search for experts:
- By Region – we therefore require Continent: Country: State/Region/County: and City details
- By Business Name – Accuracy is essential
- By Category – If your sub-category is not already listed we can add categories for you.
THE FOUR MAIN BUSINESS DIRECTORY CATEGORIES
The directory is centred on 4 main Categories
- Leadership and Management Development
- HR Expertise
- Personal Development
- Business Services
Please see paragraph one under General for more information. Each Profile must be allocated one of those four categories to qualify for either a free listing or a membership package.
Free listing will be able to list one main category and one sub-category
Full members will be able to list one main category and up to 4 sub-categories
Plus members will be able to list two main categories and up to 8 sub-categories.
FREE LISTING
Your free listing involves a basic business listing with a main and sub category entry.
We offer you discounted advertising in our monthly E-Zine and shout-outs through our managed twitter accounts. For prices and plans see Advertising
You receive a free subscription to our monthly E-zine and weekly blog. Through this medium we keep members informed of developments and activities of the community.

FULL AND PLUS MEMBERSHIP
We want the community to help you to get your message out and widen your reach. We will do this effectively if we maintain the integrity of the community and so we expect the products, service, events, books, promotions and blogs you share to be of good quality, and relevant to the marketplace. We reserve the right to decline an application for membership if quality standards are not in place.
We have capacity for a limited number of PLUS members, given the profile and the potential for heightened exposure. On receipt of your application, we may place you on a waiting list if our membership is up to capacity.
Your membership gives you the opportunity to list your business details, with one main (2 for Plus members) and up to 4 sub-categories (8 for Plus members) , thus increasing your visibility, as well as any relevant information about your products, services, events, books or promotions. These will be featured in your profile. In addition we will:
- Feature events in our events calendar
- Promote your amazon listed book in the community bookstore.
- Share at least two launches of new products or services, events, books or other promotions through our twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Google+ forums, for a period of one month in any twelve month period, with a total of at least 10 shares across each platform. You must email us with 10 days’ notice of the launch and provide the messaging, links and images to be shared. (We will provide a template on request). For monthly paying members, we will also ask to you to confirm continuation of membership for up to 3 months following the launch or we will charge for the launch as per our Advertising pricing
- You will receive a free classified listing which will be linked to our monthly E-Zine. Designed to widen your reach.
- Share your Blog RSS Feed through the relevant twitter account. We have 3 e.MILE Community twitter accounts which we manage and respond to. We also feed your blog through our basically managed twitter account available to free listings. Currently this will deliver exposure to potentially 15k followers and rising daily.
- We will also share your Blog RSS feed through our e.MILE community blog roll featured on wordpress.com
- You receive a free subscription to our monthly E-zine and weekly blog. Through this medium we keep members informed of developments and activities of the community.
- You will be invited to join our Google+ forum strictly for paid members. This will not only provide a forum for the management of the community, but will be a place to network, share great marketing and expert information. You will be able to ask questions of other experts and seek Joint Ventures and share community projects and developments.
IN ADDITION FOR PLUS MEMBERS
- You will be entitled to at least two full page advertisements each year in the Monthly E-zine, with regular smaller and classified adverts either featured or linked to the E-zine.
- Additionally Product launches will also be promoted in the E-zine, with up to two full page listings per year.
- You will be listed as a community author. You will be invited to submit original articles, (at least one per month) to feature on the promoted e.MILE Blog (This is in addition to the RSS feed blog featured on WordPress.com). The e.MILE Blog under the People Discovery banner has been featured in forums across the world, including HR Magazine Africa, HR Magazine Russia, HR Daily.com.au, HR.com, HR, Zone and Training Zone as well as CIPD and the Lead Change Group. Your original articles will be shared across all social media platforms as well as the main @pdiscoveryuk account with currently circa 65k followers and rising by around 2000 followers per week. This is an exciting developing blog and we hope to make it one of the best across social media.
