Nelson Mandela who passed away today 5th December 2013
There are going to be many words written over the next days and weeks about this great man Nelson Mandela. I am not going to make this long. I’ve grown up with the legend of Nelson Mandela. All of my life up to this point I have admired and watched his progress. He is truly one of the greatest leaders the world has seen so far.
His legacy is plain to see in his achievements, his faith, his love and his resilience to peacefully and with a heart full of love; make the world indeed a better place: Even in the face of great adversity. At 95 years old, Nelson mandela has been truly a legend in his lifetime.
We are all here to make a difference. Some, like Nelson Mandela, are here to make a difference on a global level, some in a smaller way. It almost sounds like a cliche, but even smiling at a stranger can make a significant difference when your paths cross even for only a few moments.
I write a lot about leadership, in reality I believe a true leader is someone who demonstrates qualities that we know come from our right minds. The part of us that knows we are unified and are powerful beings, and where love is the foundation of who we really are. I wrote about this in one of my personal favourite posts “” . Nelson Mandela is of course included in this tribute to people who do indeed demonstrate those qualities.
His legacy can and will live on if we could all adopt even a fraction of his determination to make the world a better place for us all. The truth is we are all capable of choosing from love; as did Nelson Mandela. Let’s do it.
