Albert Einstein said that Great Spirits have often encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.
And so it seems. Many of our great spirits and leaders such as Jesus Christ, Martin Luther King Jr , John F Kennedy, Nelson Mandela, Viktor Frankl, Ghandi either suffered greatly through their lives or their lives were shortened considerably. Theirs was a wisdom which is often the “road less travelled”, and so without understanding their unique mindset, or paradigm, many of us misunderstand their messages, or simply don’t feel we have to live up to their example. Great Spirits are great because on a level they are able to capture the hearts and minds of many many people. This is why they become popular. However the popularity of great spirits come at a cost. Most of their philosophies are about freedom for the people of the world, and many people for whatever reason simply don’t want people to be “free”. When I talk about freedom in this context, I mean the freedom of being in touch with their own inner spirit, the power within, which would question the agenda’s of many who profit or take advantage of limited mindsets.
I believe Great Spirits spoke to the part of us which is unified, and free and understand we are all equally valuable. They touched a part of us which can be uncovered at any time. If anyone is familiar with they will understand that when the chained prisoners in the cave saw the light outside, at first they were elated, but fear of the unknown eventually persuaded them to turn their faces back to the wall of the cave and the shadow’s of the light rather than face the light. Great Spirits faced the light and their opposers wanted to turn back to the cave walls.
